Our Mission

Carolinas Figure Skating Club is a member club of US Figure Skating. CFSC is headquartered at Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, NC.  Incorporated in 1997, we have a long history in the Carolinas and host the John Smith Memorial Competition every September. 

CFSC is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization

Carolinas Figure Skating Club is a member of United States Figure Skating, the national governing body for figure skating, and shall maintain its membership and conduct its affairs in a manner consistent with the bylaws of that association. Members shall conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the codes and ethics as stated in the USFS Rulebook. 

The purpose of the Club shall be is to encourage the instruction, practice and advancement of the members in moves in the field, free-skating, pair skating, ice dancing, synchronized skating, theatre on ice, and all types of figure skating; to encourage and cultivate a spirit of camaraderie among the members

The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles:
