Fran lovingly made herself available for exhibitions, coaching feedback, and test sessions. She was a huge supporter of U.S. Figure Skating and will be greatly missed.

Mr. Smith was a mentor and grandfather figure to all skaters at the Charlotte FSC, now the Carolinas FSC. Our biggest event of the year, the John Smith Memorial Competition, is named in his honor.
